Directions:

Directions to Hart High School: 
A.  Take the 5 North to Lyons Avenue. Turn right off the exit onto Lyons.  Turn left on Newhall.  The school will be on your left.  Park in the first or second parking lot you come to, which is the parking lot closest to the tab room or second parking lot next to the auditorium.  You can also go a little further down Newhall to the next parking lot just passed the auditorium.

B.  Take the 5 North to the 14.  Go north on the 14 to the Newhall exit (first exit).  Turn right off the exit onto Newhall.  Continue on Newhall in the far left lane.  Go over the railroad tracks and take the roundabout to the Newhall exit.  Follow Newhall through the light (Lyons Ave) and the school will be on your left.  Park in the first parking lot you come to, which is the parking lot closest to the tab room.  You can also go a little further down Newhall to the next parking lot near the auditorium.

Schedule:

8:00- 8:30 AM Registration in the Library (coaches only)

8:30 - 9:00 AM PO meeting

8:30 - 9:00 A.M. Judges Instructions

9:00-11:00 AM Round 1

11:30-1:00 PM Round 2

1:30-3:00 PM Round 3

Awards ASAP

Food will be sold between rounds. There will be some extra time between rounds two and three to grab some lunch, but food will be sold all day. Please patronize our food sales. Do NOT leave campus.

Entries: You must indicate whether your entry is a Novice (1st or 2nd congress), Junior Varsity (3rd or 4th congress), or Varsity (5th congress or more) entry. Varsity entries should expect to PO one round.

Fees: $10 per congress entry and checks should be made out to Tri-County Forensic League.

Judges: Each school is obligated to provide one qualified judge per every 10 entries or fraction thereof.

Entry Deadline: Tuesday, October 17, 2017, by 10PM. Register at Tabroom.com. E-mail Jerome Robinson at jrobinson9812@att.net for any questions. Entries will only be accepted by coaches on contact sheet.  PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU DON'T SEE YOUR SCHOOL LISTED ON THE REGISTRATION PAGE, YOU'RE NOT ENTERED.

Because of the differences that exist in human perception, a subjective quality is present in the scoring of Speech and Debate rounds. Even with rules and evaluation criteria for guidance,  judges will not evaluate the same performance in an identical manner. While we do everything possible to maintain consistency in scoring, winning results are not guaranteed.
