Directions:

From the 405, exit Devonshire and go west to Zelzah Avenue. Go North to first stop light (San Jose) and turn left into the Parking lot. The students will meet in Highlander Hall, judges will meet in the cafeteria, and coaches will register in the library.                                                                                                                                      

Patterns:

A Events: Extemp, OA, Expos, DI, OI, Storytelling, SPAR

B Events: Impromptu, OO, OPP, HI, TI, Duo

Students MAY double enter on a Pattern, but their total IE entry is limited to 3 events.   Students competing in Extemp can not double enter in Pattern A but can double enter in Pattern B.

8:00am-8:30am Registration/Judges check-in

8:30am-9:00am Student Assembly/Judges Instructions

9:00am-10:30am Round 1A

10:30am-12:00pm Round 1B

12:00pm-1:30pm Round 2A

1:30pm-2:00pm Lunch Break

2:00pm-3:30pm Round 2B

3:30pm-5:00pm Round 3A

5:00pm-6:30pm Round 3B

Awards to immediately follow final tabulations.

Food will be sold between rounds!  Please patronize our food sales - do not leave campus. If you miss your round, you will be dropped from the event.

Fees: IE's are $10.00 per event and $20.00 for Duos. Please include your league dues, $100, if you have not already paid it.  Make check payable to TCFL!  

Judges: Each school is obligated to provide one qualified judge per every 10 IE's, or fraction thereof.

Entry Deadline: Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Register at Tabroom.com. E-mail Jerome Robinson at jrobinson9812@att.net for any questions. Entries will only be accepted by coaches on contact sheet.  PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU DON'T SEE YOUR SCHOOL LISTED ON THE REGISTRATION PAGE, YOU'RE NOT ENTERED.

Because of the differences that exist in human perception, a subjective quality is present in the scoring of Speech and Debate rounds. Even with rules and evaluation criteria for guidance,  judges will not evaluate the same performance in an identical manner. While we do everything possible to maintain consistency in scoring, winning results are not guaranteed.
