All Schools planning to attend the Congress Qualifier must submit a bill by February 16, 2023!

Only students who have completed a TCFL Open Tournament or Congress during the ‘22 -'23 season may enter.

Fee

$20 per entry. Make checks payable to Tri-County Forensic league or pay through Pay Pal (http://paypal.me/tricountyforensics?locale.x=en_US) add 3% fee. Each school is limited to 10 speaker entries. At this tournament the PO does not compete as a speaker but as someone who will compete at State as the PO representing TCFL (In case we have too many PO candidates, each school is guaranteed one PO entry.)

Judges
Each school is obligated to provide one experienced judge per every 6 competitors or fraction thereof.

8:00 - 8:30 - Registration (Coaches and judges need to check in)

8:30 - 9:00 - Judges Orientation and General Assembly

9:15 -10:45 - Session 1

11:15 - 12:45 - Session 2

12:45-1:30 lunch break

1:30: - 3:00 - Semi-Finals (if needed)

4:00: - 5:30 - Finals

Awards will happen as soon as possible after finals!

Because of the differences that exist in human perception, a subjective quality is present in the scoring of Speech and Debate rounds. Even with rules and evaluation criteria for guidance, judges will not evaluate the same performance in an identical manner. While we do everything possible to maintain consistency in scoring, winning results are not guaranteed.
