Note: Taft's campus is undergoing construction, and the main parking lot in front of the school, as well as the front entrance to the school will be closed. To park, go south on Winnetka (from Ventura Blvd) to the first street, Santa Rita, and turn left, then turn left into the student lot. Walk west down Sant Rita to the first gate and enter. There will be students along the way to guide you.
Patterns:(All events will be live. Extemp/Impromptu competitors must stand during live performance)
A Events: Extemp, OA, Info, DI, Declamation, Storytelling, SPAR
B Events: Impromptu, OO, OPP, HI, POI, Duo
Except for students doing Extemp, students MAY double enter in either pattern, but their total IE entry is limited to 3 events. This means that a student doing Extemp may not double enter in Pattern A but may double enter in Pattern B.

Fees: $15 per entry, $30 per Duo (Plus, TCFL Dues $150 if not paid already). Make checks payable to Tri-County Forensic league or pay through Pay Pal (http://paypal.me/tricountyforensics?locale.x=en_US) add 3% fee.
Judges: Each school is obligated to provide one qualified judge per every 10 IE’s, or fraction thereof.

Because of the differences that exist in human perception, a subjective quality is present in the scoring of Speech and Debate rounds. Even with rules and evaluation criteria for guidance, judges will not evaluate the same performance in an identical manner. While we do everything possible to maintain consistency in scoring, winning results are not guaranteed.
